Fall Out or Fall-Down Shelter?

by Matt Edgar

With the recent discovery of a nuclear detonation by Parkland, many EHS students are becoming worried about the possibility of nuclear war between the two schools. When asked, one student replied, "that would really suck, but at least we wouldn't have to go to school anymore!" He then proceeded to run around the school declaring "the end is coming, we're all gonna die!" in a loud horrifying voice.

Yet there is a ray of hope, in the 1960's, EHS was designed to be used as a fallout shelter in case of nuclear war with the USSR, which obviously pales in comparison with this. Many students are asking, is the school too old to withstand a nuclear blast and the subsequent fallout? Or will it fall down, when the bomb hits?

Students of EHS, News from the West Wing is asking you to ask the school board to ask the governor to ask congress to ask the President to ensure the safety of the students of EHS. Our plan is to reinforce the school with Titanium alloy, install a star wars defense program, and create a mine field around all the entrances. We here at News from the West Wing thank you for your concern and support!
